THE LONACH AREA FIRST RESPONDER SCHEME

In
association with the Scottish Ambulance Service
MORE RESPONDERS NEEDED
Since The
Lonach Area First Responder Scheme went live in May 2006, we have attended 12
incidents where we were able to provide primary care until the arrival of the
ambulance service.
The scheme currently
has 17 first responders providing out of hours cover for the community from 6.30pm
– 8.00am weekdays and 24 hour cover at weekends and bank holidays. To maintain
this cover we need more people to come forward. If you can spare one night a
week or a few hours at weekends, it would make a big difference to the cover we
can provide. The more responders we have the better. We especially need more
people from the Glenkindie, Towie and Kildrummy areas.
If
you are 18-65, reasonably fit, hold a current full driving licence and would
like to help provide this important service to our communities please contact
Trevor Jones on the number below.
The first responders
hold regular training evenings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at the
Lonach Hall from 7.30pm – 9.00pm.
